What is freesat?

Freesat is a collaboration between the BBC and ITV to provide subscription-free TV channels through a satellite dish.

Using the same mini-dish as Sky, freesat currently provides over 110 TV channels and over 35 radio stations including two HD channels - BBC-HD and ITV-HD (information correct as of June 2009).

If you have had Sky in your property before, live in a property with a Sky mini-dish on it or live in a property with a communal TV system then getting freesat is cheap and easy.

If you don't have access to an existing satellite signal then you will need to have a mini-dish fitted to your property and either one or two cables installed, depending on whether you want freesatSD, freesatHD or freesat+.

For more information visit www.freesat.co.uk, the official website for freesat.
